Sleep is a beautiful thing, and we never seem to be getting enough of it. In terms of sleep, it would be great to be a cat. Cats can just kind of sleep wherever. There are stages of sleep that a cat goes through that prove that sleeping like a cat would be pretty darn fantastic.
There comes a point where you notice that your cat MIGHT be getting just a LITTLE bit fatigued ...
... and in the middle of hanging out he starts to doze off, no matter how good the show is getting.
Your cat starts to melt into the furniture ...
... and might slip into a strange, but apparently comfortable, sleeping position.
Some cats might just fall forward and pass out ...
... and then find their way into such a deep sleep that you're like, well ... there's a cat in there somewhere ...
Eventually your cat reaches the stage where absolutely nothing will wake him. Absolutely. Nothing.
Even if she starts to slip from where she's sleeping ...
... and even after she's almost completely slipped. Still no signs of waking up, because cats are sleep champions.
After a while, some cats will slowly start to wake up while still resisting sleep ...
... while others will actively resist and look a little bit like you when you're trying to wake up.
And some overly dramatic cats would literally rather die than wake up. Because, sleep is awesome.
